Case Study - Brand Identity: Wildly Organic Garden Co.

SELF-INITIATED: Brand Strategy + Art Direction BRAND: Wildly Organic Garden Co. FOCUS: New Brand Identity

01: OPPORTUNITY

Challenge
→ Initial prompt: Create a logo for an Australian gardener.

Opportunity → Expand on initial logo challenge and create a niche garden community to bring women who garden together through camaraderie, mentorship, and shared experiences. Monthly themed club meet ups to educate on native plants, plant care, connect through creative garden crafts, and provide volunteer opportunities to local communities.

Audience→ Women who love gardening, enjoy the boutique experience, and want to belong to a close-knit community to share ideas, mentor new gardeners, and learn more about the native ecosystem.

Strategy → Position Wildly Organic Garden Co. as a boutique destination for native plants, specialty garden items, education, and community.

Creative Exploration
→ The project started as a straightforward logo for an Australian gardener. Through creative strategy and deeper research, I identified and developed a more strategic niche concept. Through exploration, I created a brand that evolved into a garden club centered on community, education, and a premium gardening experience.

Brand Concept EvolutionMeet, Wildly Organic Garden Co. A chic Australian Garden Club Boutique founded by women, for women.

This club concept brings together women that love gardening, want to be part of a community to learn, share tips, and help educate others on the native Australian ecosystem. Members participate in themed, monthly garden meets led by local plant experts educating them on native plants, plant care, landscape styles that complement the native ecosystem, community volunteer opportunities, and creative garden crafts. Purchases and club participation earn points, used to redeem premium products including drinkware, garden aprons, apparel, and notebooks. Select products are reserved for active members, adding exclusivity and giving members a reason to stay engaged beyond the retail environment.

Art Direction + Brand Identity → The final brand direction combines plant illustrations, an organic, hand-drawn style typeface, and a color palette inspired by native Australian flora and fauna. Together, these elements add a boutique-style brand designed to expand beyond the storefront into a supportive community.

Final Brand Direction
→ The final brand identity creates a flexible foundation for Wildly Organic Garden Co. to grow beyond a traditional garden shop into a community-centered brand built around gardening, education, and connection, and experiences.

The evolution from concept to final direction demonstrates how I approach creative problems and build intention around the larger brand idea. By documenting and working through each stage of the creative process - from an initially broad prompt, through strategic research, brand positioning, concept development, art direction, to final identity - I was able to create a larger and more strategic brand with the flexibility to grow.
